Rick Wamer began exploring physical theatre with clown theater in the mid 70's, and continued to study mime with Gregg Goldston, C. Nicholas Johnson, Marcel Marceau and Stefan Niedzialkowski. Co-founder of several mime companies including The Mime Company, Invisible People Mime Theatre, The C.A.P. Theater and most recently Theatrical Mime Theatre, international audiences have been enjoying Rick's versatile brand of comedic, lyric, and contagious blend of physicality, story, character, monologue, ensemble, multi-media, mask theater around the globe. (or U.S.A., Canada, Beliz, Trinidad and Tobago, China, Macedonia, Serbia, and Israel - North America, Central America and the West Indies, Asia, Europe and the Middle East) Compared to Charlie Chaplin, applauded by Marcel Marceau, Rick continues to evolve his artistry from solo to large ensemble work collaborating with live musicians such as Grammy nominee, jazz pianist, Enrique Feldman, having successfully played with Art.if.Act Dance Theater, Odaiko Sonora, the Windsor Community Orchestra, and his ongoing teaching and directing at Theatrical Mime Theatre, the School for Mime Theatre at Kenyon College, as a guest artist internationally, and as Gravity Project faculty member at Juniata College.
